How it started 💡
When we moved to the Netherlands, we were overwhelmed. BSN appointments, health insurance deadlines, finding housing with 'inschrijving toegestaan', understanding Dutch taxes — it felt like a full-time job just to get the basics sorted.
We spent hours researching on Reddit, expat forums, and government websites. We missed deadlines, made mistakes, and wished someone had just given us a simple checklist to follow.
So we built one. Gurby started as a personal project to track our own move, but it turned out thousands of other expats needed the exact same thing. Now we're helping people from all over the world settle into their new Dutch life.
